Quality Counts

In March 2024, 澳门跑狗论坛 announced the end of the Quality Counts report after 25 years of serving as a comprehensive K-12 education scorecard. In response to new challenges and a shifting landscape, we are refocusing our efforts on research and analysis to better serve the K-12 community. For more information, please go here for the full context or learn more about the EdWeek Research Center.

Quality Counts was 澳门跑狗论坛鈥檚 annual report card grading the nation and the states on their performance in K-12 education.

Since 1997, Quality Counts provided the critical indicators that educators, policymakers, and the general public needed to evaluate strengths and weaknesses in the education systems that serve our nation鈥檚 students.

Beginning in 2018, the report card was published in three annual installments based on exclusive data from the EdWeek Research Center.

  • The January installment featured grades on the Chance-for-Success Index.
  • In June, the report card examined state-by-state results in school finance.
  • The September publication focused on the K-12 Achievement Index and provided overall grades.
