Liana Loewus was an assistant managing editor for °ÄÃÅÅܹ·ÂÛ̳ who oversaw news coverage of teaching and learning. Since joining °ÄÃÅÅܹ·ÂÛ̳ in 2010, she covered curriculum, instruction, state standards, and teacher policy issues as a reporter, and served as the associate editor for °ÄÃÅÅܹ·ÂÛ̳ Teacher. Previously, she worked as a health-care reporter and an editor for a website on learning disabilities. Loewus also spent several years as an elementary special education teacher and a reading specialist. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in special education from the University of Phoenix.
