“At Crayola Education we strive to give kids, educators, and parents the tools they need to help kids create and learn, opening up their imaginations to pursue their dreams,” says Cheri Sterman, Director of Crayola Education. “With Crayola Creativity Week, we hope to inspire kids across the country to imagine new possibilities through creative, hands-on learning.”
Crayola, the brand that inspires creativity and celebrates learning, is bringing educators, parents, children, and celebrities together for an exciting, week-long, worldwide event: Crayola Creativity Week!
What is Crayola Creativity Week?
Crayola Creativity Week is a free program for schools and homes around the world. Designed to celebrate children’s creativity and the joy it brings to teaching and learning any subject, Crayola partners with artists, actors, authors, musicians, and athletes, to bring educational content, product giveaways, and virtual events to kids and educators everywhere. Throughout the week, children, parents, and teachers will have access to an abundance of educational resources from Thinking Sheet activities to hands-on videos featuring celebrity creators, all aimed at inspiring students to learn and imagine. , Crayola Creativity Week spotlights creativity through visual art, dance, STEAM, literacy, and more!
Each day of CCW spotlights a book, showcasing how creativity is key to problem solving and imagining new possibilities. Featured celebrity talent share inspiring, real-world stories around how expressing their creativity as a kid led them to their career today, before encouraging kids to share their own creativity. Crayola Education believes that when kids lean into their personal creative aspirations, creativity can take them anywhere – turning today’s interests into tomorrow’s careers.
How does Crayola Creativity Week work?
Taking place over 7 action packed days (Monday, January 23 through Sunday, January 29, 2023), kids can watch 20-minute activity videos featuring celebrity talent reading a book aloud, then create alongside them! Each day of the week there is a daily creative challenge for kids to complete. When kids finish the challenge, Crayola encourages their teachers and parents to share the child’s artwork online using #CrayolaCreativityWeek for the chance to win daily product giveaways and fun opportunities (like having their artwork featured in a KIDZ BOP music video).
