Students at Norman High School in Norman, Okla. walked out twice. The first was a school sanctioned rally on the football field after which students walked out of school and across the street to advocate for stricter gun laws. “Many of us are 18. A lot of us are constituents of our legislators and the fact that we’re out here so strongly supporting policies that encourage gun control really shows that there is a true movement in Oklahoma and across the nation,” says Annemarie Cuccia, a student walkout coordinator and senior at Norman High School.
