Here’s What Year-Round Schooling Looks Like (Video)

Students in about 4 percent of public schools in the U.S. attend schools that operate on a year-round schedule, where shorter, more frequent breaks with schools have replaced a long summer break. But the data on how the ‘balanced calendar’ affects student achievement is quite mixed.

In this video, °ÄÃÅÅܹ·ÂÛ̳ Correspondent Lisa Stark visits a school in Holt, Mich. that operates on a year-round schedule, which leaders at Sycamore Elementary hope will reverse summer learning loss brought on by a traditional school calendar.
