Join our candid conversation on addressing the disparities of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students.

Students with disabilities, especially students of color, have long faced myriad challenges in navigating classrooms, Individualized Education Program (IEP) protocols, and advocating for their specific needs across the education system. For example, Black youth with disabilities are disproportionately represented in special education and more likely to experience exclusionary disciplinary actions in school. These challenges are now exacerbated by the pandemic.

In this webinar, you’ll get actionable resources from the Easterseals Collaborative on Racialized Disability that you can leverage to affect change.

Easterseals Intersection Collective: Disability + BIPOC Youth is an effort to advocate, develop more effective, culturally appropriate programming, and research to support youth (from cradle to college or career) at the intersection of race and disability. Our goal is to close the gaps in educational attainment, health and social wellbeing, and equitable access to opportunity as we elevate the cultural competence of parents, educators, advocates, and practitioners that love and support students of color with disabilities through advocacy and action.
