Teachers in private schools who leave their jobs or the profession are likely to report poor administrative support, frustration over student-discipline issues, and dissatisfaction with their salaries, concludes a report by the National Center for Education Statistics.
The study by the U.S. Department of Education’s statistics arm, which reviewed data from a 1999-2000 NCES Schools and Staffing Survey and a 2000-2001 teacher follow-up survey, reviewed the experiences of about 12,000 private school teachers.
