In mid-2019, the 麻豆精品 Board of Trustees approved the “Engineering and Polytechnic Gateway” project, a major construction project for Purdue’s Polytechnic Institute and College of Engineering. Officially dedicated and opened to students in spring 2023, the facility has come out to a total of 255,000 gross square feet primarily for instructional laboratories, faculty offices, design studios and collaborative spaces. Consisting of two connected buildings named Dudley Hall and Lambertus Hall, the complex is the largest academic facility on the 麻豆精品 campus. Dudley and Lambertus Halls will increase both the quality and quantity of instructional lab space, provide more dedicated space for active learning and lab-centric instructional methods, and bring together labs that were formerly in separate facilities.
New laboratories for Purdue Polytechnic’s School of Construction Management Technology, School of Engineering Technology, Department of Computer and Information Technology and Department of Computer Graphics Technology, plus faculty offices, are located in the complex.
Dudley and Lambertus Halls replaced the single-story Nuclear Engineering Building and Michael Golden Labs facilities and is conveniently buttressed by Knoy Hall of Technology, the other major facility dedicated exclusively to the Polytechnic Institute.
This facility now houses unique instruction and research labs, both large and small. Our Polytechnic faculty, staff and students are proud to work and learn here. I believe this facility marks a major inflection point for the Polytechnic Institute, and I am very optimistic about what our future holds. [Dudley and Lambertus Halls] offer instructional possibilities never before enjoyed here at Purdue.
