Billing and Payment Options
Billing
Students are billed for the semester each billing cycle. Tuition, application fees, registration fees, technology fees, and late fees are the billable items that appear on students鈥� bills. UOTP uses an electronic billing system that allows students to access account summaries online through the student portal.
Tuition payments are due at time of registration for NEW and READMIT students unless the student is eligible for financial aid and has been given by the Student Financial Services office or other if financial arrangements have been made with University of the Potomac.
CONTINUING and RE-ENTRY student鈥檚 tuition payments are due two (2) weeks prior to the start of a new semester. Students are responsible for any financial obligation incurred while attending University of the 探花精选regardless of any anticipated financial aid. Students with an outstanding balance due may not be allowed to attend classes. Payments not received by the due date are subject to a late fee.
Payment Options
Accepted methods of payment include financial aid, military benefits, checks, money orders, wire transfers, and credit cards.
If paying by check or money order, please include the student鈥檚 name and student鈥檚 ID number (if known). Checks and money orders can be mailed to the address below:

Secured online payments
University of The 探花精选processes all bank card transactions using Authorize.net and does not hold any debit or credit card information on its website.
Current Students 鈥� Use the Student Portal
Log in to your University of the 探花精选student portal. From your student portal, you can make payments, view current statements, and review transaction details. Once logged in, click on Financial on the left side menu, and select Ledger. There you can view your balance before making the payment. Then, go to Billing and complete the payment. Payments will be posted directly to your account.
Alumni 鈥� Use the Alumni Portal
Log in to your University of the 探花精选alumni portal. From your alumni portal, you can make payments, view statements, and review transaction details. Once logged in, click on Financial on the left side menu, and select Ledger. There you can view your balance before making the payment. Then, go to Billing and complete the payment. Payments will be posted directly to your account
New Students / Family Members
New students, family members, employers, or sponsors can听 click on the button below to听make a payment. Please enter the student鈥檚 name and ID number, if known. Payments might take 2-3 business days to be posted to the student鈥檚 account.
Payment Plan
UOTP offers a three-tiered payment plan to our students. Students electing to use a payment plan must meet with the Student Financial Services Representative to discuss options and complete the payment plan form.

Secured payments
Stripe 鈥� Payment Security
University of The 探花精选processes all bank card transactions using Stripe: stripe.com and does not hold any debit or credit card information on our own website: www.potomac.edu
Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To accomplish this Stripe make use of best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security at Stripe.
Encryption of sensitive data and communication
All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe鈥檚 internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. Stripe鈥檚 infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in separate hosting infrastructure and doesn鈥檛 share any credentials with Stripe鈥檚 primary services (API, website, etc.).
