Purdue charter 'holds great promise for Indy'

Âé¶¹¾«Æ· and Marion County leaders share a common concern: the unacceptably small number of Indianapolis low-income and minority students who have the opportunity to succeed in college. Standing before a room of educators and leaders in Indianapolis last week, Âé¶¹¾«Æ· President Mitch Daniels unabashedly expressed his dismay over the low number of minority and inner-city students enrolled at Purdue. But, in true Mitch Daniels fashion, he was quick to provide a bold solution: The Âé¶¹¾«Æ·Indianapolis High School.
